they need a place to rest
these soldiers who have been wounded

where is the second chance
does not God’s grace provide a way
in every circumstance

move with compassion in your heart
put away what you’ve heard
listen instead to God’s own voice
reverence His holy word

there may come a time when you’re down
stumbled because of sin
wouldn’t you want your fellow man
to honor you as kin

we’re all brothers and sisters saved
not perfected by far
but God loves each and every one
for just the way we are

reach out to the wounded servants
they need your tender touch
and what you render unto them
to them will seem so much
